Making the Risograph Box

Mood board:
Packaging inspired by vintage Halloween collective toys. Initial color palette. Sponge animals reference. Text reference.

1

Color:
Playing with color palettes and mixing of inks to form green and orange.

2

Opacity:
Playing with opacity of ink colors and separating them by color layers. Planning 5 different methods of opacity.

3

Masters and Prints:
Masters with regular copy paper to test color. Printing 5 copies on good paper and choosing the best result.

4

“Sponge Ghoul”:
The figurine of the box is a sponge that you water to grow your ghoul. I cut it out of sponge for the effect.

5

Putting it all together:
I removed the frame and placed plastic behind it. I placed the sponge behind the frame.
